Party planning can be stressful – OUTSIDE the BOX’s goal is to alleviate some of the stress and make the process fun, exciting, and affordable


OUTSIDE the BOX provides every client with an in-person (when possible), individualized initial consult allowing us to:
  • gain a comprehensive understanding of the client’s vision for the event; 
  • discuss the menu of services OUTSIDE the BOX offers;
  • present an array of samples to prompt ideas and hone in on styles, colors, etc.; and 
  • set the overall tone for the project. 


There is a $100 non-refundable fee for an initial consult which is due at the time of the consult


Using the information gathered during the initial consult, OUTSIDE the BOX will prepare an estimate. OUTSIDE the BOX will submit the estimate to the client for approval. Once the estimate has been approved, the client will be required make a deposit of half of the estimated cost.


OUTSIDE the BOX facilitates and manages every aspect of your project including, but not limited to: creating timelines; ordering; quality assurance; vendor communication, logistical oversight; hand delivery. Administrative Fees cover these services. PLEASE NOTE: the cost of parking (when applicable) and materials are not covered under Administrative Fees and will be billed at the time of final invoice. Additionally, travel outside the Chicago city limits is not included– clients outside of Chicago will be charged $0.54 per mile in accordance with 2016 Mileage Reimbursement Rates. Finally, this fee covers the client’s use of OUTSIDE the BOX frequent customer discounts and any free shipping arrangements with affiliated vendors.


There is a $50 Administrative Fee which will be added to the final invoice
