OUTSIDE the BOX photo projects are highly personalized & unique, therefore, there are no set prices. Using the menu outlined below, OUTSIDE the BOX works with all of our clients to develop project estimates that fits their specific project and comfort level.
All fees below are current as of February 16, 2016, but are subject to change at any time.
ALL OUTSIDE the BOX PROJECTS INCLUDE:
$100 Initial Consult Fee/due at the time of consultation
$50 Administrative Fee/included in final invoice*
* OUTSIDE the BOX facilitates and manages every aspect of your project including, but not limited to: creating timelines; ordering; quality assurance; vendor communication, logistical oversight; hand delivery. Administrative Fees cover these services. PLEASE NOTE: the cost of parking (when applicable) and materials are not covered under Administrative Fees and will be billed at the time of final invoice. Additionally, travel outside the Chicago city limits is not included– clients outside of Chicago will be charged $0.54 per mile in accordance with 2016 Mileage Reimbursement Rates. Finally, this fee covers the client’s use of OUTSIDE the BOX frequent customer discounts and any free shipping arrangements with affiliated vendors.
2016 MENU OF SERVICES
LOOSE PHOTO/ARTWORK/SPECIAL ITEM ORGANIZATION- $50/hour
Boxes of pictures taking up space in your closet? Are they unorganized and every time you look at them you have a panic attack. Not ready to take on a photo book project…yet, but want to be ready? Or, are you just worried about losing valuable memories with only hardcopies of your photos? Let OUTSIDE the BOX sort through photos, organize by year, event, etc; and eliminate duplicates in order to scan and upload.
PHOTO ALBUM ORGANIZATION - $50/hour
Can’t let go of those photo albums? Have photos been in a pile waiting to be organized in the albums? Let OUTSIDE the BOX sort through photos, eliminate duplicates and add to your albums.
COMPUTER FILE ORGANIZATION – $50/hour
Wouldn’t it be nice to know where your photos are and find them with just a click of your mouse? OUTSIDE the BOX can organize all those photos floating around on your iphone, android, hard drive, cloud, flash drive, etc.
SCANNING – PHOTOS/ARTWORK/SPECIAL ITEMS – $1.50/item or $50/hour facilitation fee
For smaller projects, OUTSIDE the BOX scans photos/artwork/special items. For larger projects, OUTSIDE the BOX prepares these items for scanning & facilitates the scanning process with an agreed-upon vendor. If items are too large, or if we determine items would present better if photographed, OUTSIDE the BOX photographs items (see below).
PHOTOGRAPHING – ARTWORK/SPECIAL ITEMS – $1.50/item
OUTSIDE the BOX photographs art work/special items when deemed appropriate. If items would present better if scanned, OUTSIDE the BOX scans art work/photos (see above).
PHOTO/SPECIAL ITEM/ARTWORK SELECTION – $50/hour
OUTSIDE the BOX sorts, selects, and pulls photos/items for your project. OUTSIDE the BOX also replaces these items when necessary.
TEXT SELECTION – $50/hour
OUTSIDE the BOX researches and selects text for your project (i.e. quotes, song lyrics). Text inclusion, many times, can help “tell the story” of a project. Clients are welcome to select their own text and provide to OUTSIDE the BOX for inclusion.
TEXT INCLUSION – varies (see below)
OUTSIDE the BOX includes text when requested. There are three levels of text inclusion:
Minimal Text – $25 flat fee
Average Text – $40 flat fee
Extensive Text – $75 flat fee
PERSONALIZED COVERS, HEADER PAGES & BACKGROUND PAGES – varies (see below)
Rather than using the standard vendor options for covers, header pages and page backgrounds, OUTSIDE the BOX designs unique covers, header pages and background pages specifically for your project.
Cover Design – $100 flat fee includes front and back cover and spine
Header Page Design – $15/different header page
DESIGN & VISION – varies (see below)
Includes downloading and formatting items to create highest quality for printing (i.e., cropping, removing red eye, & creating hi-res images when necessary), developing a “vision” for your book, and creating a high quality, unique keepsake book based upon this vision utilizing the various options mentioned above. This fee is standard for all photo book projects and is not a “menu item”.
Design & Vision For Projects of 100+ Photos/Items – $1.00/item
Design & Vision For Projects of Less than 100 Photos/Items – $50/hour
