THE POSSIBILITIES FOR CREATING ARE LIMITLESS…

This page, which provides examples of past projects, is intended to provide prospective clients with ideas, as well as a sense of what we have created and what we can create. While we have endless ideas, we also welcome ideas from our clients.

Since 2012, we have created:

SAMPLING OF PAST PROJECTS

MY DAUGHTER IS THE NEXT PICASSO…

OUTSIDE the BOX created a beautiful “portfolio” of a child’s art work from pre-school through elementary school.

As these “portfolios” are the cornerstone of our business, please see our blog posting “your child’s artwork…” Our signature books have been utilized as grandparents gifts, birthday gifts for the “artists,” and coffee table books for proud parents.

NEVER GROW UP…

OUTSIDE the BOX scanned non-digitalized photos of a soon-to-be college freshman’s life – from birth to current day – to create beautiful keepsake to take with her to college. The book also featured song lyrics which “narrated” her “story” and included her artwork, and photos of special mementos. The book is not only a priceless tome, it is easy to transport and store in a dorm or apartment. This book was created as a graduation gift from parents to their daughter.

Our NEVER GROW UP books are extremely popular, and since our inception have become an OUTSIDE the BOX signature item .

I MISS SUMMER CAMP…

OUTSIDE the BOX recreated the memories of a child’s home-away-from-home using photos from a pre-camp visit; downloaded from the camp website; and taken by the camper during her stay at camp. Upon the camper’s return home, this photo book was given to her as a birthday present.

Our I MISS SUMMER CAMP books are extremely popular, and since our inception have become an OUTSIDE the BOX signature item.

MEMORIES OF MAUI…

OUTSIDE the BOX depicted a special family vacation celebrating the father’s 50th birthday. This photo book was created for a Father’s Day gift.

THOSE WACKY 70’s…

OUTSIDE the BOX recreated a 70’s-themed surprise 40th birthday party which included photos of the invitation, the decorations, the food and cake, and guests in 70’s-inspired attire – truly depicting the mood and tone of the evening. This photo book, was created not only as a birthday gift for the guest of honor, but also as a hostess gift for the couple that provided the event space.

Other HOST/HOSTESS photo gifts created by OUTSIDE the BOX include include “Memories from the Lake” and “Circles of Doom”.

BEST FRIENDS FOREVER…

OUTSIDE the BOX created this book for a number of years annually to celebrate and preserve the memories of best friends using photographs and artwork depicting the friendship. These books were presented to each of the girls as a special holiday gift.

THE HONEYMOON IS NOT OVER…

OUTSIDE the BOX removed photos from a bulky, old, neglected album; scanned these non-digitalized honeymoon photos; and created an updated, more space efficient photo book. This book was created as a 13th anniversary gift from the wife to her husband.

DETAILING DISNEY…

OUTSIDE the BOX designed using photos from a family trip to Disney World. This book was created as a Mother’s Day gift from a daughter/her children to her mother/their grandmother as a thank you for taking them on the Disney trip.

WHEN PHILIP MET PHYLLIS…

OUTSIDE the BOX utilized photographs spanning from the late 1800’s to present day to create this “memoir” which tells the story of Philip and Phyllis – before they met, when they met, when they married, when they had children, when their children were married & when they became grandparents. Featuring photos, newspaper clippings, wedding invitations, birth announcements and more, this book was the perfect 50th anniversary present for our client’s parents.

MEMORIES OF A DEAR FRIEND…

OUTSIDE the BOX pulled memories and letters from social media posts and other sources to create a special book for the family of a dearly departed friend and colleague.

MAZEL TOV…

OUTSIDE the BOX utilized photographs from a young man’s Bar Mitzvah to create a unique and modern keepsake of his special day.

CELEBRATING THE BOYS OF SUMMER…

OUTSIDE the BOX collected photographs from parents to create a year book chronicling a travel baseball team’s season. Books were distributed to all team members.

IT’S A WONDERFUL LIFE…

OUTSIDE the BOX designed this special book depicting a wonderful year with a wonderful grandmother. The book cover was specially designed to recreate the original movie poster from “It’s a Wonderful Life” using a family photo. The book was presented to the wonderful grandmother as a holiday gift.

CLARENCE & JANICE: LOVE LETTERS…

OUTSIDE the BOX designed this special book containing all the love letters our client’s dad wrote her mom before they were married in the 1950s & 1960s.  This book encapsulated the love these two shared during that time and was a beautiful gift from a daughter to her father.

REMEMBERING MATTHEW…

OUTSIDE the BOX designed for a client that had been saving meaningful sympathy cards and letters from when his father passed. Unsure what to do with them, he asked OUTSIDE the BOX to create something special to preserve the memories. We created a beautiful 70+ page book commemorating a very special man and celebrating the wonderful memories his friends and family had of him.
